Nashi Pears

Nashi are in season in spring though the season is quickly ending. Get your fill now because they will probably be all gone before summer.

Oranges

Navel oranges are in season early spring and supply should keep us going until summer when supply will slow pretty quickly. Valencia oranges will be available over summer but most end up in juices.

Pineapple

Pineapples have two major seasons in Australia and the current season is underway from early spring. According to some growers the sweetest pineapples are produced for spring so enjoy them now.

Cabbages

While your classic red and white cabbage season is more in autumn and winter, it's time to enjoy some Asian cabbages. Spring is the peak of the pak choy season and bok choy is also plentiful until summer. Baby choy and choy sum are also tasty in spring, but wombok will be minimal until summer.

Celery

You will have to wait until summer for peak celery season but availability will ramp up throughout spring. It's a great addition to soups and smoothies when it's in season and good value.

Leek season is slowing down but tasty produce should still be available through until summer. Take advantage of those stews before the weather starts warming up.

Lettuce

Lettuce season really kicks off in summer when cos lettuce and oak leaf lettuce are available, but iceberg lettuce season starts a bit earlier and you should see nice fresh produce increasing from mid spring.

Hass Avocados

Peas

Nothing is more of a spring vegetable than a fresh pea. Most pea varieties are spring vegetables. Fresh garden peas are available from late winter to early summer so take advantage because they just taste so much better than frozen peas.
